Vivienne
Oh, sweet sweet Vivienne.
If you saw my post a few months back about her brother Benjamin's 3rd Birthday shoot, well here SHE is. And if you didn't, here are the Cliff Notes: Benji was going to be a big brother to a baby but we didn't know if it was going to be a boy or a girl. I have had the pleasure of watching Benji grow, right next door and from behind my camera. I just knew he would be a good big brother.
We all had our guesses on if the baby was going to be a boy or a girl. I think our whole street wanted it to be a girl. Big brother was so cute, we just knew she would be too. But I think Mary & Brandon thought it was going to be a boy. That little bit of denial because they really wanted a daughter.
Man, I love these types of stories where parents don't find out the gender until the baby is born but I don't know how they do it. I have no patience, I get that honest. I need to know these types of things before they happen. But again, I think it is so cool to follow along and listen to the pregnancy symptoms and guesses.
Back to Vivienne!
I was REALLY hoping for them to have a girl. The day came, we all knew she was having the baby. And there came the text of a picture of Vivienne and her name! I shouted so loud that my family could hear me downstairs.
THEY GOT THEIR GIRL!!!!!
I am so happy that they got what they really wanted. Regardless of girl or boy, that baby would have been so happy and them too. But something about having that boy and girl. It feels like your family is just complete, right? You have both sides and get to enjoy all of the things that come with having a son (dirt, sports, that loving connection between a mommy and her little boy) and you get to experience all of the things that come with having a daughter (cute clothes, going broke on said clothes, ballet, bows).
Session day:
The time came for their session and oh she was so great. It took her a little bit of time to finally settle but she was so perfect and so great to work with. Mary had been eyeballing the little green leggy set I had and was hoping we would get to use it if Vivienne was in fact a girl. SO WE DID! And look how cuteeeeeee she is! I cannot wait to watch her grow up with her big brother!
