"Can I just get the digitals?"
ok, so you're looking for a photographer and want just the digitals. I get it. It's convenient because you want to be able to put them on social media. You want to be able to share with your friends and family.
But what do you do with them after that?

You probably haven't done anything with them yet, have you?
Let me tell you a personal story:
In 2017 I had my second kid. I took sooooo many pictures on my phone of him and his big brothers. I bought an iPhone with tons of storage space because when you are a mom, that's what you need, right? One night I plugged my phone in an it got stuck on the apple logo and would not do anything else. I realized there was nothing more I could do so I left it to charge over night and hoped that it would be fine the next morning. I woke up to the same thing. It was still stuck on that same screen. I researched on how to fix it at home before scheduling an appointment to have it looked at. With no luck, I had to take it in. Fast forward two weird almost feeling naked days because I didn't have my phone - I was finally able to get in to have my phone looked at. Remember, I had thousands of pictures of my kids on it. Unfortunately whatever happened to my phone happens often to people. There is not much they can do but restore the phone to the last backup.
ummmmm.....I never do that.
So here I am, in the middle of the Apple store, crying because I was about to lose my memories. Because if my phone didn't have them to remind me of that moment, with my little baby in the cutest outfit, holding his favorite stuffed animal, how would I ever remember?
I left that store, image-less. With empty feeling in my heart. I learned my lesson, I can assure you of that.
I tell you this because I want to open your eyes to the fact that technology is not the end all be all when it comes to your images.
And let's be honest, those USBs look a little silly up on that wall, right?
Your memories are moments in time. A photograph helps preserve those memories that we would otherwise forget.
I am excited to be able to offer packages that offer wall art, albums and digital images. Because one way of having them, just isn't enough for me. Those photographs deserve to be on display. Not just on a phone or a social media platform. They belong on your walls. They belong on your parent's walls and even in your office.
I want you to walk past that piece of art and let it bring you joy - every single day. Not just after someone "likes" it on Facebook.
You should be filling your home with family and the art we create.
When you book your session with Kaitie Rickels Photography, you are receiving quality products to help preserve those moments in time.
